who said he "felt like getting drunk'' after trying to steal a bottle of whisky.

Neiko Burchall, of Top Square, pleaded guilty to stealing from the Shelly Bay MarketPlace.

Prosecuting, Sgt. Rex Osborne told the court that on August 31 at 6.45 p.m.

Burchall was seen walking through the Shelly Bay store. "He was seen holding a bottle of whisky but when he went to the cash register, he only paid for a can of beer.

"The cashier noticed a bulge in his pants and Burchall was stopped. A bottle of whisky was recovered from his pants pocket.'' Sgt. Osborne added that Burchall tried to escape but was stopped by a security guard.

When asked by Police why he was trying to steal the whisky, Burchall said: "I felt like getting drunk''.
