local schools in a cross country challenge at Clearwater Beach today.

A new format of competition will see boys and girls combining to score for each team. A maximum of six boys and six girls will run for each school with the top four boys and top two girls counting towards the final score.

Students from Ridley, Saltus, Cedarbridge Academy (two teams), Warwick Academy and Berkeley Institute will range in age from 15-18.

The event was last held in 1988 with separate boys and girls races.
