`Romeo and Juliet' in spotlight
a new lease of life in their production to be performed this week.
The students are performing a workshop presentation of "Romeo and Juliet'' in the Saltus Senior School Hall tonight and tomorrow at 7.30 p.m.
The production will be assessed as a part of the new GCSE course in Drama being offered by the school.
The students have studied the themes and ideas of the original Shakespearean text in order to come up with an original way to tell the famous story.
The production, which will be performed as Shakespeare intended on in-the-round staging, has been directed by the students themselves and helped give them a better insight into one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies.
Tickets are on sale from Saltus Senior School Office at $10 for adults and $7 for children and senior citizens.
