Bermuda's second largest bank closed up $2.25 at $27.25 -- a new 52 week high.

Bank of Butterfield also rose, up $1.10 to close at $49.10, up 2.3 percent. No other stocks were traded.

The index was pushed up by 79 points or 3.35 percent to close at 2,437.92, just 6.7 points shy of the index's all-time high.

In a single day 41,115 share worth $1,608,568 were traded.
