"Battle of Boston'' this weekend at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Centre.
The AA-rated NASKA event annually attracts up to 1,000 participants, principally from the north-east US and Canada, but also from Bermuda, the Dominican Republic, Virgin Islands and Europe.
Among those competing in the masters forms and weapons division will be Bermuda veteran Skipper Ingham, while Bermuda Karate Institute head trainer Kent Simmons, a veteran of every "Battle'' since its inception, is entered in all three categories.
Having won or placed each year he has competed, Simmons intends to retire from international competition afterwards.
