The larger-than-life statue however will not grace Johnny's beloved roundabout; instead it will be placed nearby the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. It took Mr. Fountain about nine months to complete the work, at an estimated cost of $70,000. Most of the money is expected to be raised through the Spirit of Bermuda Trust, which organised the commemoration.
