American gay and lesbian news magazine The Advocate.

The magazine's world briefs section includes an article about efforts by the Bermuda Human Rights Alliance to have the law overturned that makes consensual sex between adult males illegal.

"A gay group in Bermuda is circulating a petition calling on Premier (the Hon. Sir) John Swan to repeal his nation's anti-sodomy law because it violates the European Convention on Human Rights treaty,'' the article reads in part.

A spokesman for the alliance said he had already received copies of several letters sent to Sir John, through gay rights groups based in the United States. "They will come through to us gradually,'' he said of the letters.
