we would be practising at school a lot so I would get used to performing on stage. Boy was I wrong! Due to confusion around the time of the talent show, we only got two days to practise at school. I didn't do too well at those practices so I got even more nervous as the night of the talent show drew closer.

When the night of the talent show arrived, I was so nervous it felt like my butterflies had butterflies. I had to play the violin a bit earlier in the show with an orchestra, so when I went back to my seat I just sat back and relaxed.

What I didn't know was that the teachers weren't going to tell us when we had to perform beforehand, so I didn't know when to set up. The announcer called my name to perform and I had to rush to get ready. Then to make matters worse, I couldn't find a music stand! Luckily one of the teachers helped me and I found one. I performed and the audience was very co-operative. Maybe this was because they had to wait forever for me to perform and didn't want to slow things down any further.
