Party officials and volunteers gathered at NLP HQ to discuss tasks at the polling booth and efforts to maximise votes on the day.

The party is to follow the rally with twice-weekly meetings to bring its election machine up to full strength.

"The room was full,'' said candidate Mr. Geoff Parker. "There were a lot of new people and a good cross-section of the community. It was very positive.'' Mr. Parker's target seat is expected to be revealed today, along with details of another candidate.
