BII plans two seminars
A breakfast seminar from 8 to 10 a.m. will examine finite insurance -- what it is, how it has changed and how it is influenced by accounting. The speakers will be Tony Bibbings and Janet Mercer of Inter-Ocean Re and it will be held at the institute offices in Cedarpark Centre.
Later that day the BII holds its February luncheon at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. The speaker will be Glenn Titterton of BF&M and the topic will be `The Challenges Ahead and what People Say.' The time is 12.15 -- 2 p.m.

BSX WITHDRAWS ASIAN FUND STK BSX withdraws Asian Fund The Bermuda Stock Exchange has announced the voluntary withdrawal from listing of The Asia Opportunities Fund and the Land Development Fund.
The BSX said in a release the withdrawal from listing was made at the request of the Funds.
Under a scheme of arrangement approved by shareholders at their respective Special General Meetings on November 22, 2000, the Funds, along with the Asia Specialist Growth Fund, were reorganised into the New Asian Property Fund.

SEA CONTAINERS OFFLOADS PORT SHI Sea Containers offloads port British port operator Mersey Docks & Harbour Co announced yesterday it had paid US $36.45 million in cash to buy Heysham Port Ltd from Bermuda-based Sea Containers.
Heysham, which is situated about 50 miles north of Liverpool on the northeast coast of England, provides port facilities and services for freight and ferry operators, mainly to Ireland and the Isle of Man.
