Seminar addresses technology issues
organisations in dynamic business environments will be held at the Princess Hotel next week Wednesday.
"Managing Information Infrastructure for Sustained Competitive Advantage'' is being presented by leading systems integrator and reseller, Applied Computer Technologies (ACT).
ACT and their international partners, Sybase, Microsoft, Compaq and Bay Networks, will sponsor the event, one which they see as pertinent to both business leaders responsible for defining strategy and information technology professionals charged with their implementation.
It is designed to demonstrate how the two disciplines can come together to define the new organisational model for the 21st century.
Speakers include director of special programmes at Sybase Inc. Toby Younis, business development manager at Microsoft Rick Marcet, director of business planning and market development at Compaq Craig Scott and Bay Networks business development manager Rob Collins.
ACT director of sales and marketing Richard Parker said: "We are very excited about this seminar and believe all attendees will gain a valuable insight into the technology strategies being deployed by leading organisations who are at the forefront of information and infrastructure development.
"New organisational models will emerge that use information technology to dynamically link people, assets and ideas. It is vital that business leaders in Bermuda understand the opportunities that new information architectures represent in an increasingly homogeneous global market.''
