Loop makes debut
visited Woodlands School yesterday.
The cuddly character is part of the campaign to encourage Bermudians to recycle cans, glass, newspapers and other items.
He will be visiting schools over the coming months telling children to educate their parents to help the environment.
The Government believes that children could be a major factor in the recycling drive which has already proved a great success.
The idea is that if they learn to appreciate the environment at an early age they will continue to do so throughout their lives.
Loop is also the main character in a cartoon and quiz booklet published by the Ministry of Works and Engineering and distributed through schools.
REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE -- That is the eco-friendly message that Loop the Recycling Bluebird was giving to youngsters at Woodlands School. Loop is encouraging children to recycle. He is seen pictured with Youlanda Smith, 10, Ronmoda Davis, 11, and Christopher Robinson, 8.
