Stephen Caisey, 35 of South Road, Southampton pleaded guilty, in Magistrates' Court, to assaulting a Police officer.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Earl Kirby told the court Caisey was arrested in Warwick for a traffic offence and detained at Hamilton Police Station on January 21.

But while in custody, Caisey lashed out at a Police officer, striking him on the shoulder, Sgt. Kirby said.

Caisey claimed the officers beat him up first.

But Mr. Hodgson told him he should understand the officers had a job to do.

DRUG PIPE FOUND IN WOMAN'S BAG CTS Drug pipe found in woman's bag A social inquiry report was ordered for a 27-year-old Pembroke woman who admitted possessing a home made glass pipe used to smoke crack cocaine.

Simone Outerbridge, of Crane Lane, pleaded guilty to possessing drug equipment on December 22.

Sgt. Earl Kirby, prosecuting, said Police spotted Outerbridge on Elliot Street putting something into her purse.

Police searched her bag and found a glass pipe which was analysed and found to contain traces of crack cocaine.

Acting Magistrate the Wor. Edward King ordered a social inquiry report and adjourned the sentencing until February 17, 1995.

THIEF SNATCHES CLUB'S BAR TAKINGS CRM Thief snatches club's bar takings A Warwick club was hit on Thursday night when a thief grabbed a large quantity of cash from the till.

The bartender reported that shortly after 11 p.m. a man approached her asking for change, and while the till was open he grabbed the money and ran off.

The culprit is described as being a dark skinned man between five feet six inches and five feet eight inches tall wearing a hooded grey top and dark pants.

Police detectives are asking anyone who can assist with the investigation to contact Central CID at 295-0011.

UNDERAGE RIDER GAVE FALSE NAME CTS Underage rider gave false name A teenager who was caught riding his sister's motorcycle while underage and gave Police a false name was fined $300 in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Philip Anthony Woods, 17, of West Side Road, Sandys, pleaded guilty to riding while disqualified by reason of age and making a false statement on December 19.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Earl Kirby said Police spotted Woods riding an RC 100 motorcycle along Middle Road in Sandys.

He was stopped because Police had received a report the motorcycle had been removed.

Woods gave his sister's name to Police.

Acting Magistrate the Wor. Edward King fined Woods $200 for riding underage and $100 for lying to Police.

"The truth sometimes can set you free,'' he told Woods. "Sometimes it can lock you up too.''
