a group helping company employees.
The Employee Assistance Programme of Bermuda is also looking to help the National Drug Commission to get drug and alcohol programmes up and running.
Both schemes were announced by the EAP's chairman Keith Hollis at the group's recent annual meeting.
In his speech Mr. Hollis said the EAP had now completed nine successful years of operation.
He added: "The war on drugs in the workplace will be won and the EAP will continue to be a very valuable contributor on the winning team.'' Mr. Hollis said that over the last year EAP membership had grown to 157 companies covering 13,059 employees and that 7,440 clients had been seen to date.
Future programmes will include the depression in the workplace scheme, an educational series, a series on managing the drug free workplace and helping the NDC by getting EAP members get drug and alcohol programmes underway.
