Harness racing back on track

20 ponies will compete in the opening meet, including three that have not raced for the past two years.

Returning to the track will be Tux's Little Mite, driven by Johnny Five, Catch A Fire with Tom Matthews on the reins and Happy Hoe Jr, now owned and driven by Leslie Wolffe.

Four new racing ponies have arrived in Bermuda and one of them, LA Ermatime, will be making her debut in the Junior Free For All.

The other three are in training and expected out shortly.

Also likely to race this year are three locally-bred two-year-olds.

Post time today is 1.00 p.m. with 14 races on tap.
