Secretary of the Corporation of Hamilton Mr. Roger Sherratt noted that the Bank of Butterfield on Front Street would be carrying out extension work on their roof using a large crane, lifting structural steel.

"This means that it will block Burnaby Hill. We are advising the public not to use the sidewalk running alongside the bank,'' said Mr. Sherratt.

"People can use the other sidewalk alongside the Hog Penny restaurant.

"The restaurant and the other stores will remain open despite the construction work.''
