Sea Wolfe lands top catch
Basch, Carla Kaufman, Larry Kaufman, Brandon Lanouette and Clarke Eliff aboard Sea Wolfe took top honours in the weekend's Bacardi Rum angling tournament.
Sea Wolfe won both the Bacardi Rum Trophy as overall high point boat and also lifted Class C (professional division).
Some 75 boats took part in the event with wahoo and yellowfin tuna making up most of the catches.
In a bizarre finish for the boat Dog House , angler Derek Excell watched as his 47-lb wahoo slipped back into the water as he attempted to unload it at the Dockyard weigh-in station. After several dives, the fish was found and eventually weighed, although it failed to place among the winners.
Sea Wolfe weighed in a total of 10 fish, all wahoo, the best five of which totalled 198.9 points. It was closely followed by captain Allan Bean's boat Nothing's Easy with 196.3 points.
The high point award in Class A for boats 27 feet and over went to Douglas Brown in Sprocket III with 148.9 points. Runner-up was John Carr's Nomad with 80.3. Honours in Class B (boats up to 27 feet) went to Paul Frias in About Time with 114.1 points followed by Jason Semos in Aquaria II with 96.6 points.
Cindy Foggo was the top female angler for the third year in a row with 88.5 points fishing aboard New Nuts .
Delvin Bean was high point male angler with 144.1 points on Nothing's Easy .
A total of 92 fish were weighed in -- 45 yellowfin tuna, 37 wahoo and 10 other species.
