along the east coast, recently recording first and third place finishes to start the new road race season.
Armstrong, competing in the Giralda Farms 10K in Madison, New Jersey, turned in an impressive time of 31 minutes, 48 seconds over what was reportedly a tough, hilly course, under chilly climes of 32 degrees farenheit.
The clocking was good enough to place him third behind Kenya's Paul Mwangi (30:24) and Fouzi Aloui (31:40) of Morocco.
His next outing at the Ashenfelter 8K Classic in nearby Glenridge saw the 29-year-old go even better, as he blistered all manner of competition, winning by almost two minutes ahead of Oskar Nordenbring, with a time of 25.14.
Nordenbring was timed in 27.11 and Steve Semple third in 27.13.
