Milford Eugene Waldron, 31, of Chaingate Hill, and Sidney Clyde Fox, 65, of Union Street, pleaded guilty to the separate offences, which occurred on September 11 and October 15 respectively.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor told the court that around 12.45 a.m.

Police officers on patrol saw Waldron travelling south on Trimingham Hill, Paget.

They noticed he was swerving on his motorbike and when going round the roundabout almost ran into it.

He was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station where a breath sample revealed him to have 174 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Waldron was fined $500 and disqualified from driving all vehicles for one year.

In the second incident, Sgt. Taylor said around 12.15 a.m. Police officers on patrol saw Fox travelling the wrong way on a one-way street.

Fox was riding his cycle south on Parliament Street in Hamilton when he struck the officers' car.

Fox was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station where a breath sample determined he had 213 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Mr. Francis fined Fox $450 and disqualified him from driving all vehicles for the next 12 months.

PAIR FINED FOR POSSESSION OF CANNABIS CTS Pair fined for possession of cannabis Both a Paget man and a Hamilton Parish woman were yesterday fined in Magistrates' Court for possession of a controlled drug.

Danford Barry Lee, 23, of Wilson Avenue, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis on August 13.

And Cindy Lee Lima, 36, of Harlem Heights Road, pleaded guilty to the same offence on August 11.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor told the court that around 8.30 p.m. Lee was stopped by narcotics officers on Harrington Sound Road, Smith's, as a result of information received.

Lee was searched and a single envelope containing plant material was found hidden in his knapsack.

The cannabis was analysed and found to weigh 0.64 grams. Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined Lee $150.

Sgt. Taylor added that in a separate incident, a plastic bag containing plant material was found on Lima during a search at the Bermuda International Airport.

Lima arrived back on the Island from Jamaica on the morning of August 11 and was subjected to a search.

The plastic bag, which contained 3.20 grams of cannabis, was found in Lima's pants.

She was arrested and told Police officers that the cannabis was for her own personal use. Mr. Francis fined Lima $350.

PEMBROKE MAN GRANTED CONDITIONAL DISCHARGE CTS Pembroke man granted conditional discharged A 28-year-old Pembroke man was yesterday granted a conditional discharge after admitting attempting to steal cash from a restaurant.

Troy Harris, of Crisson Avenue, pleaded guilty at Magistrates' Court of trying to grab cash at Woody's Drive-in, Sandys, on October 16. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft and taken to the Somerset Police Station.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis told Harris to keep the peace for the next three months or be remanded in custody for the same length of time.
