Organic gardening course at Paget Community Garden postponed
Lack of interest has led to the postponement of an eight-week organic gardening course at Paget Community Garden.
But organiser Frances Eddy hopes to get the course running soon and says a switch from the scheduled Saturday morning slot was possible.
And she said subdivision of plots at Paget Community Garden was being considered to encourage more people to rent a slice of land.
She said: "At 20 feet by 20 feet they are fairly big and people find it's too big for them but they can be divided up.'' And she said that at $50 for a two-year occupancy the plots already represented good value for money.
She said tenants were growing corn, squash, eggplant, tomatoes and sweet potatoes this summer.
