BSX Index loses ground

17.958 points to close on Friday at 2,212.17, a 0.81 percent drop. 94,702 shares were traded, 5,998 less than the previous week, with a total turnover of $2,968,901.60.
Just five companies were traded in over the week. Bank of Bermuda ended the week $1 down, after trading 42,816 shares, to close at $44. Bank of Butterfield gained 25 cents on trading of 33,092 shares and closed at $24.75.
The biggest gain was in BF&M which traded 2,150 shares and gained $2 to close at $12.50. Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd., owners of The Royal Gazette , gained $1.50 on volume of 5,214 shares and closed at $9.50 while Belco Holdings gained 75 cents on trading in 6,700 shares and closed at $23.
