Roberts leads the recovery

Warwick 149 Shaun Roberts stroked 62 and Wendell White, David Gibbs and Francis Richardson took seven wickets between them as Somerset comfortably beat Warwick by 60 runs at Somerset.

Roberts helped the West enders recover from 88-6 with a stand of 50 for the seventh wicket with Michael Donawa, before Francis Richardson's 30 in the tailend enabled the team to pass the 200 mark. Cup Match colt Wendell White was the next main contributor with 25 after coming to the wicket at 17-2.

Ritchie Foggo was the top bowler for Warwick with three for 43 while Hoyt Zuill, Alan Wilkinson and Reginald Pitcher all had two wickets apiece.

Warwick never fully recovered from a shaky start which saw them 26-3 after White and David Gibbs got the early wickets. Quinton King was top bat for Warwick with 28 while A.J.Minors scored 22.

Gibbs finished with figures of three for 31.

Social Club 47 PHC 48-2 PHC made easy work of winless Social Club at Sea Breeze Oval, dismissing them for just 47 in 28 overs.

No Social Club batsman reached double figures as James Pace took three for seven and Cal Waldron three for 16. Kallan Johnston chipped in with two wickets for six runs.

Delbert Hunt was 11 not out and Mark Smith 13 not out as PHC reached their target in 12.3 overs with the loss of just two wickets. Both were taken by J.Durham who had two for 24.
