resulted in $325 in fines for a Devonshire woman.

Beverly Davis of School Drive told Police she was unaware that motorists could not turn onto the hill on weekday mornings between 7 and 9 a.m.

"I always drove that way,'' she said.

When she was stopped on September 25, officers discovered that both her driver's licence and car licence had expired.

Davis was fined $75 for disobeying a traffic sign, and $250 for driving without the licences.

Magistrate the Wor. John Judge told the 27-year-old to pay closer attention to traffic signs in the future to avoid problems.
