Late goals sink last-placed Parish
Boulevard struck with goals late in the game to clinch their first league win of the season and leave last-placed Parish still without a point at the bottom.
When they weren't arguing, Parish looked fluent at times in the first half as they strung passes together at St. David's. But failure to convert some promising scoring opportunities eventually came back to haunt them.
Leon Raynor had a header turned around the post by Andre Hendrickson in Parish's first corner in the eighth minute. Then youngster Jamie Smith put a shot just past the far post for Parish.
Sean Dill of Parish had a header cleared off the line from inside the six yard box from a Jermaine Belboda corner late in the half.
Boulevard were given a noticeable lift when Otis Minors came on to replace Desta Samuels in the 55th minute. Just before that Parish went close again when Chris Caisey's inswinging corner hit the face of the crossbar.
Boulevard lifted their game a level in the late stage and struck twice in the last nine minutes to snatch all three points. Even the introduction of player-coach Ricky Hill for Parish in the 63rd minute failed to lift them as Dwight Warren scored the first in the 81st minute and laid on the second goal in the last minute.
A ball into the box by fullback Taur Caisey beat the Parish defence as Warren flicked the ball up and then got it under control before running it past Cymande Davis and into an empty goal.
Warren helped make certain of victory when he swung in a corner from the right and Baker headed in an own goal.
