Two local stocks were particularly badly hit, Bermuda Computer Services closed down $5.50 or 47.83 percent at $6.00 and Bermuda Container Line lost 33.33 percent or $1.50 to close at $3.50.

Bank of Bermuda stock closed up 50 cents at $47.50, while Bermuda Commercial Banks shares rose 10 cents to $6.10 and its warrants fell 5 cents to $0.20.

Masters stock dipped 15 cents to $6.85, while Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd rose $1.50 to close at $9.75.

BELCO lost $1.95 to close at $3.23 and Key Tech gained 50 cents to close at $42.50.
