Wright blitzed the field in the men's event, lapping more than half of the runners over a five loop course of approximately five miles.

He finished in 27 minutes, eight seconds, more than one and a half minutes ahead of second-placed Errol Cormack (28.41).

Third overall and first Master was Harry Patchett in 28.49.

Fisher was equally convincing in the women's event, clocking 19.17 over an approximate three mile course (three laps), ahead of Donna Watson (19.55) and Jane Christie (20.16).

The next event will be over the Warwick sand dunes this Saturday.
