Hill called to bar
Friday.
Away from the Island for several years, Mr. Hill has only been back home for a month. Taken on by Marshall & Co. law firm, he has been working in commercial litigation.
After high school at Saltus, Mr. Hill studied philosophy at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. After obtaining his qualification degree, he returned to Bermuda and worked for the Bank of Butterfield before moving to Scotland, where he managed rock bands for three years.
"It was here,'' according to lawyer Tim Marshall, "that he realised he had a gift of sorting out other people's business and decided to study law.'' The Hills then moved back to the UK and in 1997 Mr. Hill was called to the English Bar. His wife, Deidre, and three children -- Abigail, Ewan and Clara -- are due to join him in Bermuda in a few weeks.
Back on the rock: Bermudian Cameron Hill, a lawyer with Marshall & Co., was called to the Bermuda Bar on Friday.
