The number of air arrivals rose by 10.4 percent to 36,779, while that of cruise passengers increased 1.6 percent to 19,861.

But the total visitor arrivals this year, 409,826, still stands 2.3 percent lower than that recorded in 1991.

The United States continues to provide the greatest source of tourism.

Last month 49,685 Americans flocked to Bermuda, an 8.7 percent increase on 1991, while visitors from Canada went up by 17.6 percent to 2,904.

Europe also recorded an increase of 48.6 percent to 1,204, but visitors from the United Kingdom fell 28.7 percent to 2,072.
