TeleBermuda settles into new home in the heart of Hamilton
President of Mintflower Ltd. Ralph Marshall offered words of welcome this week to TeleBermuda Ltd., the first tenant of the company's new city building on Par-La-Ville Road.
TeleBermuda is the firm set to break Bemuda's long-standing telecommunications monopoly, and will soon begin providing long distance telephone service in competition with Cable & Wireless.
Mr. Marshall said, "This is a first-class building and we are delighted to have had a first-class company like TeleBermuda join us as a long-term tenant.'' Executive vice president of TeleBermuda, Scott K. Socol, said the move to the company's new Mintflower headquarters would enable the firm to begin hiring up to 40 new Bermudian staff, mainly in customer services and administration.
Mr. Socol said, "TeleBermuda is going to be offering a very high level of personal service for each of our long distance telephone customers and Mintflower Place gives us a modern and efficient headquarters big enough to accommodate the large number of Bermudians we will be hiring over the coming months.''
