Bermuda School Sports Federation's basketball season will come to an end with their annual tournament next week.
The double elimination event starts on Monday and will finish on Saturday, March 20, at Bermuda College. The junior varsity boys final will start at 5.00 p.m., followed by the varsity girls final at 6.15. The boys final will be played at 7.30.
Games will be played daily at CedarBridge, Saltus and MSA at 4.00 and 5.15.
Saltus will be favourites in the senior boys division as they completed their regular season undefeated.
Berkeley Institute were recently crowned champions of the Commercial Risk Bermuda Basketball Association Invitational Tournament and should offer a serious challenge.
Saltus have won two of the three previous meetings between the schools this season. Berkeley dominated the junior boys division, winning the league and finishing the Invitational tournament undefeated. The girls division should be the most competitive as both MSA and CedarBridge Blue are undefeated in league play. Saltus have improved throughout the season and could provide an upset.
CedarBridge won the invitational tournament and are keen to add the BSSF title. The middle school boys tournament should be wide open with no clear-cut favourites and Spice Valley are favourites to repeat as middle school girls champions.
