Transport Minister Ewart Brown has revealed.

During Wednesday's debate on estimated expenditure for the Transport Ministry, Dr. Brown said the new measures would mean security at the airport would become more advanced than at some of its North American counterparts.

British Airways is the only airline operating out of Bermuda which X-rays all bags checked in presently. By December 31, 2002, all bags leaving Bermuda on all flights will be X-rayed.
