BPSA extend win streak
action with Myron Piper and Alden Ray winning three matches and Mike Stirling two. BPSA won both doubles. Bermuda College played with two just players and had to forfeit four matches. BPSA extended their record to 4-0 to lead the league, but their unbeaten record will be threatened next Tuesday when they visit league champions Old Colony Club who have a record of 2-0.
Piper and Ray have both won their 12 matches with Stirling sporting a record of 7-5.
OCC are expected to offer a strong challenge once again this season with Dave Waltham and Chris Fleming both holding 6-0 records while Bermuda's top player, Nick Frost, is undefeated in three games so far.
Eastern Stars defeated two-man Prison Officers 8-3. Officers were forced to forfeit four matches.
Stars' Andrew and Dexter Smith both had three wins while Kevin Lapsley scored one by default. Stars won a doubles by default while the Smiths were upset by Curtis Hodgson and Barry Rahman who each defeated Lapsley.
Fourth round matches postponed on November 2 have been rescheduled for December 19.
Meanwhile, clubs have been advised that the BTTA will use the larger 40mm balls for league play and all other competitions from January 2. There has also been confirmation that the BTTA will send a team of four players and one official to the 46th World Table Tennis Championships in Osaka, Japan from April 23 to May 6.
