Mr. Adderley joined AS&K in 1997 and, after working in-house as Senior Attorney for Global Crossing, returned to the firm in August 1998. He is a graduate of the University of Bristol where he obtained an L.L.B. Honours degree in 1989. He then attended the College of Law in Guildford, England and completed the Law Society Finals in 1992. He was called to the Bermuda Bar in 1993.

Mr. Adderley is a member of the Company Department and works primarily in the area of telecommunications.

Mr. Adderley lives in Devonshire with his wife Helen and his daughter Olivia.

*** STIRLING COOKE BROWN Stirling Cooke Brown Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of Anthony C. McCallum as Managing Director of the Company's London reinsurance intermediary operations. Mr. McCallum will assume the position on or about May 1, 2001.

Mr. McCallum is a seasoned executive with 24 years of service in the London reinsurance market. He gained most of his experience during his 17 years with Carpenter Bowring UK Ltd., the London-based international reinsurance broker subsidiary of Marsh Limited, where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive during his last years there.

Mr. McCallum began his professional insurance career in London in 1977 at Bain Dawes, now part of Aon, before moving in 1980 to C.T. Bowring Reinsurance, where he became a specialist in North American reinsurance.

He became Chief Executive of Carpenter Bowring in 1994 and then Chairman and Chief Executive in 1995. He also served on the Executive Committee of Guy Carpenter and Company Inc., with responsibility for their London-based worldwide reinsurance operations.

He moved in 1997 to Jardine Lloyd Thompson to develop that firm's Non Marine Reinsurance business but left two years later to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity.

He founded Logon London Limited, which specialises in developing, marketing and brokering innovative reinsurance and insurance products.

Mr. McCallum, 54, was educated at Radley College, Oxfordshire and served as an officer in the British Army for ten years before beginning his insurance career.

*** SUREPAY A former director of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, Stephen Flett has been appointed of chief executive officer of SurePay, LP, a major operating company of eONE Global LP, an American e-commerce company.

The company said as an internationally seasoned senior executive, Mr. Flett has considerable experience as a business strategist and new payments technology leader.

It added his management skills developing new business strategies and directing the introduction of e-commerce payment products during his 12 years at American Express will further SurePay's business initiatives and market presence as it introduces its online B2B payment platform solution later this month.

The company added Mr. Flett has an impressive track record in the banking industry, most notably as Managing Director of the Bermuda Monetary Authority (Central Bank) where, reporting to the Minister of Finance, he was responsible for the supervision of Bermuda's financial institutions and its fiscal reserves supporting the foreign value of Bermuda's currency.

It added he has broad mergers and acquisition experience from Reed International, plc., and he began his career developing banking and offshore insurance programmes at the accounting firm Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).

*** Los Angeles-based e-financialdepot.com has announced the appointment of Paul Lemmon as president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Lemmon, 39, is head of the Voyager Group of Companies based in Hamilton, Bermuda.

The Voyager Group of Companies is involved in investment banking and private asset management products and services, the company said.

FDPO has entered into a Letter of Intent with pending approval to acquire Voyager Financial Services Ltd., the investment-banking member of the Voyager Group.

It is the intent of FDPO to utilise Voyager as a platform to expand internationally and develop a robust, state of the art, secure, online investment trust and investment banking services through Voyager and expand into other international jurisdictions that compliment the company's business plan and service Voyagers' discerning high net worth and institutional client base.

Lemmon was formerly an executive with the Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Ltd., Bermuda and was previously the president of Yorkhill Financial Services, an investment and merchant banking company.

He was a past member of the International Marketing Committee of the Bermuda International Business Association and on the International Committee of the U.S. Managed Futures Association. Lemmon is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

John Huguet, FDPO's former president and CEO, will be assuming the role as chairman of the board.

*** SOVEREIGN RISK Sovereign Risk Insurance Ltd., has announced that Nila Davda has joined Sovereign as Vice President and Senior Underwriting Officer.

Ms Davda comes to Sovereign from the World Bank's International Finance Corporation (IFC), where she was a senior syndication officer in IFC's Syndication and International Securities Group.

Her primary responsibilities included arranging funding with financial institutions worldwide for IFC projects under its B loan programme.

Prior to joining the IFC in 1996, Ms. Davda worked at the World Bank's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) as a political risk underwriter covering investment-related transactions in emerging markets.

"We are delighted to have Nila come on board as our Senior Underwriting Officer,'' said Sovereign's President and CEO Price Lowenstein.

"She brings to Sovereign a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in international finance, syndicated loan structures and political risk underwriting. TRENWICK Trenwick Group Ltd. has announced that Michael C. Watson will become the Chairman and Chief Executive of its London-based subsidiaries, Chartwell Managing Agents Limited and Trenwick International Limited, effective May 1, 2001 and subject to applicable regulatory approvals.

Mr. Watson, who has extensive senior management experience in a wide variety of financial services organisations, was previously employed as CEO of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited's London and Bermuda operations.

Pierre D. Croizat, the current Chairman and Chief Executive of Chartwell Managing Agents Limited and Trenwick International Limited, is retiring.

James A. Giordano, currently Senior Vice President and Chairman of the Underwriting Committee of Trenwick America Reinsurance Corporation, will relocate to London to become Underwriting Director of Trenwick's U.K.

operations. Mr. Giordano has 27 years of underwriting experience.

David J. Marshall, the current Active Underwriter of Syndicate 839, is leaving the group. His successor will be announced in the near future.

*** HWP HWP will be holding its second motor show on Sunday, April 22 in Number 1 Shed, Hamilton.

Doors will open at 12 to 5pm and admission is free. Over 30 different vehicles will be on show, including cars, bikes and commercial vehicles from their stables.

*** COLDWELL BANKER Coldwell Banker JW Bermuda Realty has been named the 2000 Number One Office in closed gross commission for the Island Affiliate Region at Coldwell Banker International Business Conference in Tampa, Florida.

Fiona Gosling Hatfield, one of Bermuda's best-known real estate representatives, was named 2000 Number One Sales Associate in closed gross commission income.

Alex Perriello, president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, presented the awards to Arthur Jones and Fiona Hatfield.

This new office will augment ACE European Markets' ability to promote insurance services and products within the London market. Stephen French, who has been with ACE since 1995, will lead growth of the property business in London and Bob Patten has been promoted to senior vice president, liability in the Dublin office. James Hooban, managing director of ACE European Markets, said, "We anticipate that these two appointments will be the first of several designed to enhance the company's underwriting capabilities.'' He added that establishment of the new office bodes well for the future growth of new business opportunities in the EU.
