Is Bermuda still safe?

Dear Sir,

As a tourist, who is a regular visitor to Bermuda, I am terribly disturbed to read about the violence that seems to be out of control on the island.

My husband and I visit each year and invite family and friends to share this lovely island with us.

I must say I am not thrilled to think that my young adult grandchildren might be subject to harm or that my husband and I have to stay enclosed at night because of the apparent lack of Police presence.

The reason we kept returning to the Island was because it appeared to be a safe place for family vacations, I am not so sure I feel that way anymore and I find that very sad.
