Town, Trojans fire blanks

The Hornets failed to show the decisive finishing touches which helped them hammer Boulevard Blazers 3-0 a week earlier. At St. John's field their attack struggled this time and with the visiting forwards in a similar punchless mode they had to finish the contest satisfied with a point.
Trojans, held to a 1-1 draw against Ireland Rangers in their season opener, battled their opponents to the very end and deserved to leave with a point.
Both however did well in defence with Dennis Zuill masterminding things there for the Hornets and Kion Simmons as solid as ever in front of the Trojans' goal. But in attack both sides showed a lack of ideas and finishing prowess.
