Kathy Lloyd-Hines retained her title in the BGA Senior Amateur Championships for Ladies at Riddell's Bay on Friday.

Leading from Thursday's first round, Lloyd-Hines played steady golf in the second round and matched her nearest competitor, Wendy Salvia, stroke for stroke. Both finished Friday's round with the same score of 84, which was enough for Lloyd-Hines to emerge victorious.

Playing off the men's white tees added some differences for non-Riddell's Bay members, plus the Bermuda rough which seemed to gobble up balls that were only just barely off line added to the challenge.

Salvia placed second and Linda Outerbridge managed third place.

In the Net Division, newcomer Linda Madeiros came in a creditable third, Jeanne Atherden second and Barbara Bogg grabbed first place.

The Masters section was won by Caroline Hammond.
