First Atlantic Commerce has expanded its data and payment management services further in the Latin America and Caribbean region.

The Bermuda-based company has linked up with EVERTEC, which is the Caribbean's leading provider of electronic transactions.

First Atlantic is now certified on the e-commerce processing platform in Puerto Rico operated by EVERTEC.

It means the Bermuda company can now settle payment transactions to all merchant acquiring banks on that platform, giving retailers and merchants across the Latin America and Caribbean region an additional option when it comes to payment gateways and services.

More banks will be able to use First Atlantic's end-to-end e-commerce card payment solutions.

The Bermuda company's CEO Andrea Wilson said: "Our certification to EVERTEC gives us the opportunity to offer our leading online payment and risk management solutions to acquiring banks in the region and jointly promote secure e-commerce payment solutions in conjunction with EVERTEC.
