Mystery donor offers to match donations for Haiti charity effort

Feed My Lambs Ministry will be having an Island-wide tag day tomorrow in order to raise funds for its important work in Haiti.Money raised will go toward the charity’s monthly expenses, including paying for a teacher, uniforms and books for the school, as well as food, the completion of a medical clinic and solar panels for electricity.Linda Rego Adderley said funds raised with go toward the ‘Match Fund’ project, after an anonymous donor pledged to match donations up to $30,000.“It’s simple, if [someone] donates $20 it becomes $40,” explained Mrs Adderley.The charity — founded by Bermudian Philip Rego — is also looking for volunteers to help with a trip to Haiti on July 7.Mrs Adderley said: “We are looking for a teacher, carpenter, masons, students and retirees that can make a difference in a child’s life. If each one reaches one [we can accomplish our goal].
