Breaking news: Douglas sent home early from U19 World Cup

Bermuda cricketer Chris Douglas has been sent home early from the Under 19 World Cup in Malaysia for disciplinary reasons, according to an article published today on top cricket website cricketeurope.net

When contacted today Bermuda Under 19 assistant coach Arnold Manders refused to elaborate on the matter but did confirm Douglas was "not currently with the team" before hanging up on The Royal Gazette.

It is currently unknown what offence Douglas committed to warrant being sent home, with Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) now expected to shed more light on the subject in the near future.

Only last week Warwick all rounder Douglas played an influential role in Bermuda's historic 20-run win over ICC Associate rivals Ireland in Malaysia, claiming five for 40 and scoring 27, and his services are sure to be missed when the two teams meet again tomorrow.

According to the article on cricketeurope: "Ireland have been boosted by the news from the Bermuda camp that Christopher Douglas won't feature, having been sent home by the Bermudan management on a disciplinary matter."
