Rangers on a roll
Southampton Rangers 3Southampton Rangers continued their impressive run of form during First Division Shield action at Somerset Cricket Club yesterday.
Rangers took the lead after only two minutes, and never looked back.
Jahmah Charles put the South Shore club ahead for good before additional strikes from Peter Sampson and Jermaine Dill put the match well beyond the reach of a Wolves side who had more than their fair share of chances.
Ireland Rangers 2Goals from Henry Santucci and Junior DeSilva either side of the half propelled Ireland Rangers to victory over Prospect at Southampton Oval.
Leonard Davis converted Prospect’s late consolation.
Devonshire Colts 5For the second straight weekend Devonshire Colts enjoyed a goalscoring spree.
Yesterday saw Colts thrash Social Club at Wellington Oval to storm into the next round of the First Division Shield competition.
First-half goals from Enrique Wilkinson and Ryan Purnell provided Colts with a 2-0 cushion at the half.
Additional strikes from Jordan Commissiong, Darrin Williams and Richmond Sons completed the rout.
Somerset Eagles 3Somerset Eagles avenged a midweek loss to St.George’s at the Den.
And the West Enders did it the hard way, scoring three goals in the final seven minutes of the match.
St.George’s raced out to a 2-0 lead after Rackai Dickinson and EJ Trott both converted.
However, Eagles came storming back through second-half goals from player/coach Kenny Thompson (penalty) and Darin Dowling (two).
