Three up, one down
Share movements in banks, insurance and utilities were responsible for a 39.50 (0.78 percent) climb in the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange as it reached 5,118.93.
The biggest climber was Argus Group, which saw its share price improve $1.10 (7.6 percent) to a 52-week high of $15.50 after 9,500 were traded.
There was a healthy upwards tick for Belco as its shares increased in value by 80 cents (3.5 percent) to $23.80 after 1,636 were exchanged.
A similar improvement in share value was enjoyed by Bermuda Commercial bank as its shares went up five cents (3.3 percent) to $1.55 on the strength of 1,100 shares changing hands.
The only decline of the day was recorded by Butterfield Bank as its shares fell 25 cents (0.4 percent) to $59.25 after 1,970 were traded.
The total number of shares exchanged on the day was 14,206 representing a value of $294,498.
