Belco and Butterfield Bank shares fell in value by 50 cents as the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange ended 35.84 points (-0.71 percent) lower at 4,984.91.

Stocks valued at $761,770 changed hands. There was trading of 10,470 shares of Butterfield Bank that resulting in the closing price falling 50 cents (0.9 percent) to $57.50.

In the utilities sector Belco Holdings also saw a 50 cents (2.1 percent) drop in its share value as 6,910 shares were exchanged.
