BCB rises 50 cents

An improvement in the value of Bermuda Commercial Bank shares helped the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange edge 3.84 points (0.08 percent) higher to 5,066.11.
Bermuda Commercial Bank saw a 50 cents (5.6 percent) rise in its share price to $9.50 after 2,200 were traded.
Also in the banking sector 10,162 shares of Butterfield Bank were exchanged, with no change to the closing price of $59.25.
The only other sector to see activity was insurance with 4,000 shares of Argus Group being traded without change to the $14.40 closing price.
And 5,500 shares of BF&M were exchanged, again with no change to the share price of $18.00. The value of shares traded was $779,448.50.
