Police kept busy

On the roads this weekend, four people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, there were 20 reported damage only road traffic collisions and 7 reported road traffic collisions, which resulted in injury.

Five burglaries were, also, reported, two in St. George's, two in Pembroke and one in Warwick over the weekend.

Boat diverted

Bermuda Harbour Radio received a call from the sailing vessel Spirit, which was diverted to Bermuda after taking on water.

It was located 200 miles west of the Island after departing Norfolk Virginia and heading to St. Marten.

The four people on board were able to successfully limit the water intake with the use of pumps. No injuries were reported.

It is expected that the ship will continue on to its destination once repairs are carried out in Bermuda.
