LONDON (Bloomberg) — Bermuda-based Aquarius Platinum Ltd., which mines platinum and palladium in Africa, said production fell 2.4 percent in its fiscal second quarter from the first because of shutdowns at its mine in Zimbabwe.Aquarius's share of production in the three months ended December 31 was 136,928 ounces of platinum-group metals, from 140,227 ounces in the previous quarter. Production at the Mimosa mine in Zimbabwe dropped to 16,672 ounces, from 21,367 ounces, Aquarius said in a PRNewswire statement yesterday.
