The pluck of the Irish . . .
THERE won't be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow but lovers of Irish music have struck gold as the Bermuda Folk Club hosts its Irish Night tomorrow.
Irish Nights have been among the most popular events on the club calendar, according to president Ben Nunn.
This event is hoping to attract not only new, up-and-coming performers, but also any one who would like to make their stage debuts.
Among tomorrow night's performers are John Moss, Kevin Stokes, Georgina McDonald, Sharon Murphy and seasoned crooner Scott Neil.
Neil is no stranger to the stage and is known for his ability to get the crowd behind his performance and will perform a few crowd favourites.
Also tipped to perform tomorrow night is Johnny Bohan, who will have his diehard fans from the Bermuda Lacrosse Club to cheer on their teammate. So don't be surprised if some brave reveller decides to do a jig and reel during these chaps' performances.
The majority of the performances will be acoustic, which complements the club's intimate atmosphere.
Doors open at 7.30 p.m. and showtime is at 8 p.m.
Admission is $5 for members and $8 for non-members.
The next event is scheduled for April 1.
