Breaking News: Police arrest one person for drink driving over Cup Match

Police said today that only one person was arrested for drunk driving over the Cup Match holiday.Officers said they were busy dealing with other incidents, including road accidents and reports of loud music, from 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, to 7 a.m. today.A spokesman added: “Over the Cup Match holiday weekend - from 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 28 through 7 a.m. Monday, August 2 - there was one person arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and nine reported burglaries. There were also 13 reported damage only road traffic collisions, ten reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and nine vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent. In addition there were five reports of loud music.
