Bermuda-based Golar LNG Ltd., an owner of liquefied-gas tankers controlled by Norwegian billionaire John Fredriksen, said fourth-quarter profit more than tripled to a record.

Net income rose to $33.1 million, from $10.2 million a year earlier, the Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said in a statement. Sales increased to $72.7 million from $45.2 million, Bloomberg News reported.
