Bermuda lost its first tour match against a United Arab Emirates Development XI today by 46 runs.

After limiting UAE to 198, Bermuda's batsmen struggled in their innings with only Dean Minors and captain Janeiro Tucker making meaningful scores in the early order as Bermuda were bowled out for 152, according to a scoreboard on islandstats.com.

Minors, elevated to opener in coach Gus Logie's latest effort to find a reliable opening batsmn, scored 30. But fellow opener Stephen Outerbridge was dismissed for four.

Saleem Mukkudem was also out for four, as was Irving Romaine. Tucker then stabilised the innings with a knock of 34, but Lionel Cann, whose late order heroics were a feature of Bermuda's ICC trophy campaign last summer, was out for 14. Only a last wicket 13 from Kevin Hurdle spared Bermuda more blushes.

And in a sign of the weakness of the batting, Extras made the second highest score with 31.

Bermuda's bowlers had Emirates on the ropes early, with Kevin Hurdle and Mukkudem picking a pair of wickets each to have Emirates reeling at 33-4 and later at 87-7.

Pace bowler Hurdle's final figures were took two wickets for just 13 runs off six overs, while Mukkudem took 2-33.

An eighth wicket stand of 63 took Emirates to 150 and Emirates added 48 runs for the last two wickets.

Pace bowler Jacobi Robinson took 2-44, Ryan Steede took 1-30, spinner Hasan Durham took 39-1 and Tucker racked up figures of 33-2.
