Dear Sir,

I have just noticed a new sign on my neighbour's gatepost. I should explain that my neighbour is Tim Gurney, the Deputy Governor. The sign reads 'Private Residents' (sic) and it's nicely painted. I imagine it cost a good deal of money to have that sign made.

As you know, sir, I get a little crazy when I see typos. I try to get my own writing proof-read before I send it on, and I do hope that my editors will wield the blue pencil. Apparently, The Ministry of Signs needs to get a proof-reader on board.

Perhaps your proof-reader could get a job moonlighting?
